52 haftada baskı yapmak 41. hafta/ 52 weeks of printmaking Week 41

Geçen hafta sonu bahçe ile uğraştık. Bol bol yeşil vardı. Biraz kırmızı, biraz beyaz...Kıştan çıkarken budamak lazım bitkileri, bir de yeni filizleri toprakla buluşturmak...İşte o budama işlerinden sonra bol bol dal, yaprak, çiçek getirdim eve.
--------------------
Last weekend we worked in the garden. There was a lot of green. A little red, a little white...As we are leaving winter behind we have to prune the plants and introduce sprouts with soil...So after all this pruning i brought a lot of branches, leaves and flowers back home.

Bu sarmaşıktan bol bol malzeme çıktı. Yapraklarını kullanarak uzun zamandır denemek istediğim bir şeyi yaptım: Güneşle baskı.
-----------
This ivy gave a lot of material. Using the leaves i have tried something that i have been thinking since a long time: Printing with sun.

Ebru denemesi yaptığım haftadan kalan kumaş parçaları.
-----------
The fabric pieces left from the week of marbling.

Önce tüm kumaşı akrilik boya+ su+ kumaş medium'u ile hızlıca boyadım. Kumaş medium, akrilik boyayı kumaş boyası haline getirmek için kullanılıyor.
------------
First I have painted the fabric quickly with a mixture of acrylic paint+ water+ fabric medium. Fabric medium is used to turn acrylic paint into fabric paint.

Sonra kumaşın üzerine yaprakları dizdim. Uçmasınlar diye taşları da en üste koydum.
--------------
Then i have laid the leaves on the fabric. I have put stones to prevent them from flying off.

Birkaç saat sonra kurudular. Yaprakları kaldırdım. İşte sonuçlar...
-----------
After a few hours they dried. I lifted off the leaves. Here are the results...

Tabii ki kağıt üzerinde de denemeler yaptım.
-------------
Of course i did some experiments on paper.

---------------
And these are the papers that i have painted backgrounds and added some patterns with the brush. Generally, i use the paint directly from the tube. But mixing my own colors is the best. I can go on playing like this for hours.

  1. Oh wow! You amaze me every time I come here with your creativity. And this here, 'printing with sun', I think I may have to have a go at myself. Your pieces look fabulous and the ivy shapes came out grand.

p.s. Just, Özge, curious, are you still having issues commenting on my site?

    1. Hello Claudia. Thank you for your nice words. I love ivies. The shape of the leaves are awesome. So i wanted to include them in my art. Yes, i am still having issues with commenting. I wanted to write something but the comment tab does not appear.I feel kind of rude to just link my post and leave. I want to speak and tell how much i enjoy your art, too :) Your site is the only blog i have this issue.I wish i was better at technology.

    1. Hello Andrea. I was surprised to see the crispness of the print. I think you can try this with watercolors or any other kind of kid friendly paint. It is great to get messy under the sun :)
