Hergün sanat/ Art everyday :: 127

-------------
Today there is a sewing project. I decided to design a bag for a friend of mine who is about to have a baby boy. As i did not like the synthetic fabrics of the bags on the market i picked up woolen and cotton fabrics myself. Then i had sewn a giant bag with a lot of pockets.

------
The bag is totally composed of rectangular pieces. As my head is always busy with models it was inevitable that the bag would be a rectangular prism.
Dış Gövde: Exterior Body
Ön: Front
Arka: Back
Yan: Side
Taban: bottom
Dış Cepler: exterior pockets

İç gövde: Interior body
iç cepler: interior pockets
fermuar yanı/ kapak: zip sides/ top flap
kısa askı: short handle
uzun askı: long strap

-----------
To take as much load as possible, the bag has many pockets. On the exterior, long edges has 2 pockets on each side. Sides have 1 pocket for each face.

------
On the interior, facing long edges there are 2 and 4 pockets respectively.

Üst tarafta kapağı kırmızı yaptım ama fermuarı lacivert seçtim. Bu arada kırmızı kumaş tok bir pamuklu. Açık mavi olan kot kumaşı, ince pamuklu. Lacivert ise ince bir yünlü.
-----------
I made the top flap red whereas chose the zip as dark blue. By the way, the red is a stiff cotton fabric whereas the light blue is a thin cotton denim fabric. The dark blue is woolen.

This is lovely, thanks so much for taking the time to post this and share it with us. I've been making bags all year -- for myself and as for gifts -- but this is different and I will definitely be making one. And by the way, I can't understand a word on this comment form . . . LOL! Hope it comes through all right. --Susan
