Bir de Hanna'nın "2013'te 365: Odak olarak Kolaj" isimli daveti başladı.Her gün olmasa da haftada birkaç defa bile boyalarla oynamak, düşünmeden kesip biçmek, yapıştırmak çok eğlenceli. Başlangıç ile bitiş arasında sayısız karar alıp eleme yapmak, sonucun ne olacağını asla tahmin edememek ve sonunda fena olmayan bir ürün elde etmek heyecan verici...
Prompt6ix haftalık 6 kelime ya da kavramdan oluşuyor. Bunları istediğimiz gibi yorumlayabiliyoruz. Bu haftaki ipuçları şöyleydi:

Kullanılacak renkler ve ortam tamamdı ama kavramsal olarak "karar" kelimesi ile ne yapacağımı bilemedim.Yeni yılın başladığı şu günlerde "2013 için niyetler" gibi bir liste oluşturma fikri ruhumu sıktı. Bütün inekliğime rağmen ben doğaçlama yapmayı severim:) Sonunda kitap falı açıp okuduğum ilk cümlenin/paragrafın çağrıştırdıklarını çizmeye karar verdim.
Jules Verne'nin "Güzel Sarı Tuna"sını okuyorum. Ölümünden sonra yayınlanan eserlerinden biri, bendeki Tübitak Yayınları'ndan çıkmış Ekim 2011 basımı. Açtığım sayfa 71 idi:
"İnce ipliklerle Floransa kılından misinaya bağladığı iğneleri Jaeger'e göstererek şöyle dedi:
-Görüyor musunuz Bay Jaeger, bunlar çok ince, on bir numara iğnelerdir. Bunları sadece bir yandan çatlamış ve iyice yumuşamış, pişmiş buğday taneleriyle yemleyeceğim; çamçak** için en iyisi budur.
-Size inanıyorum elbette Bay Krusch, dedi Jaeger, ama balıkçının erkencisi için de en iyisi, sabah sabah atılacak bir tektir. Küçük bir kadeh sert içki için tam zamanı gibi geliyor bana...
Ve valizinden küçük bir şişe çıkararak doğan güneşe karşı tutup ışıldattı."
Kafamda ilk oluşan bir spiraldi. Önce kesik çizgilerle, kurşunkalemle onu çizdim. Üzerinden suya dayanıklı bir kalemle geçtim. Çünkü fonu suluboya ile boyayacaktım. İlk çizdiğin taslakta sadece kesik çizgiler varken sonradan eklediğim 2. düz çizgi çizimi mahvetti. Ama yapacak bir şey yoktu. Tam olarak cadmium sarısı olmasa da ona yakın bir renkle fonu boyadım. Araları sarının farklı tonlarında kuru boyalarla değiştirdim. Spiral hattını sarı marker ile belirginleştirdim. Bu noktada oluşan sayfa sarı bir balık ağına benziyordu ya da sarı bir deniz kestanesine...Üzerine bilgisayardan çıktı aldığım çamçak resimlerini ekledim ama bu arada solungaçlarını ve kuyruklarını parlak kırmızı kuru boyalarla boyadım. Ağın sol üst köşesinde bir boşluk vardı.Oraya da balıkları koyacaktım, vazgeçtim, metnin bir bölümünü ekledim. Suyun içindeki hava kabarcıklarını çizmek geldi aklıma. Bunların bir kısmı ayrı bir kağıtta marker ile boyandı, kesilip kolajlandı. Bir kısmı da çay poşetiyle boyadığım bir sayfadan kesildi ve kırmızı kuru boya ile değiştirildi. Onlar da kolajlandı. En son kumaşla ne yapılır diye düşünürken kırmızı bir kurdeladan balık silüeti kesip sayfaya ekledim:) Sadece evde bulunan eski malzemeleri kullanarak yaptığım ilk deneme için hiç fena değil...
*2013 yeni başladığına göre hergün sanat denemeleri de sıfırlanabilir dedim:)

I decided to join
Tammy's daily/ weekly prompts. This is the first trial.There is another web site called "Creative everyday". And then there is the challenge by Hanna called "365 in 2013: Collage as Focus". Though not possible on a daily basis, it is still fun to play with paints a few days in a week, cutting and pasting without thinking. It is exciting to decide and eliminate between the beginning and the end, never being able to guess the result and end up with a not-so-bad art work...

is a weekly challenge composed of 6 words or phrases. We can interpret them in any way. Here are the clues for this week:

The colours and the medium to be used were OK but i did not know what to do with the concept "decision". I did not like the idea of forming a "2013 resolutions" list during the early days of the year. Despite my being a nerd I love to improvise:) In the end I decided to make a book fortune telling to be inspired by the first sentence/paragraph I would read.

Verne's "Beautiful Yellow Danube". It is one of his works which were published after his death, my copy is printed by Tübitak Publications in October 2011. The page I had opened was 71:
" He showed the hooks that were tied by thin Florentine strings to the fishing line and talked to Jaeger:
-You see Mr.Jaeger, these are really thin, number eleven size hooks. I will bade them merely with cracked and well softened, cooked wheat seeds; this is the best for roaches**.
-I believe in you Mr Krusch, said Jaeger, but for an early rising fisherman it is best to have a single shot in the morning. It appears to me that it is just the time for a little cup of strong drink...
And he took a small shining bottle out of his suitcase to hold it against the rising sun ."
I initially imagined a spiral. First with dashed lines I drew it in pencil. Then traced them with a waterproof pen. Because I would paint the background with watercolours. My first sketch was composed of only dashed lines, to which I added continuous lines. And this ruined the whole drawing but there was nothing to do. Though not exactly cadmium yellow, i painted the background. In between I altered with coloured pencils of different yellow hues. I reinforced the spiral contour with a yellow marker. At this point the page looked like a yellow fishing net or a yellow sea urchin...I added the roach images that i printed but i modified the tails and the gills with vermillion pencil. There was a gap in the upper left of the net. I was planning to put fishes there, but declined, instead i added a part of the text. Then i thought of drawing the bubbles in the water. Some of these were drawn on another paper with marker, cut and pasted later. The rest were cut from a page that i had dyed with a tea bag, and later coloured with vermillion pencils and finally collaged. Eventually, thinking what could be done with fabric, i had cut a fish silhoutte from a red ribbon and added to the page:) I only used the old material available at home. Not bad at all for the first trial...
*As 2013 had just started, i thought the art trials could be reset, too:)
